PHILIPS 6 ft. UVB Narrowband "Long"
This is the original Philips TL/01 Narrowband UVB bulb.
Bulb measures 70.25" end to end and fits many 6ft UVB Narrowband devices.
(Daavlin, NBC, Solarc, Ultralite).
Similar to TL100W/01-FS72 listed below except longer - check part numbers before ordering.
Bulb is 1/2" too long to be interchangeable with FS72T12 length bulbs
(use TL100W/01-FS72 instead).
Fits Solarc/SolRx 1000 Series 6-foot devices (production lots R and down).
ENDTYPE = RDC, WATTS = 100

TL100W/01-FS72

Also known as: F72T12-100W-UVB-NB (LET)
|
PHILIPS 6 ft. UVB Narrowband "Short"
Bulb measures 69.75" end to end and is dimensionally interchangeable with FS72T12 bulbs.

This is a new offering from Philips to enable easier waveband conversions.
Similar to TL100W/01 listed above except shorter - check part numbers before ordering.
Note: On older production lots of this bulb,
"FS72" part of part number is not immediately behind the "TL100W/01" part.
Look elsewhere on the etch stamp for a small "FS72".
This was later corrected.

Call Solarc Systems for assistance if required.
Volume discounts are available to hospitals, phototherapy clinics, and dermatology offices.
Please call for a quote.
Physician prescription is required for home phototherapy sales.
(Or evidence that sale is for re-lamping an existing home phototherapy device on a previous prescription.)
Prices shown are in Canadian Dollars, FOB Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
Prices listed are Freight Extra and subject to change without notice.
To minimize freight & packaging costs,
consider ordering Philips 6-foot bulbs in multiples/combinations of 12 or 30,
and other 6-foot bulbs in multiples/combinations of 12 or 24.
Extra packaging charges may apply for low total value shipments.
"WATTS" listed is nominal electrical input power per bulb and dependent on ballast used.
Bulb length is defined as distance from extreme end to extreme end;
most easily measured bulb vertical up with one end on the floor, using a tape measure.
For most Philips bulbs, the "phosphor" colour is embedded in the part number, with definitions:
/01 for Narrowband UVB 311nm, /12 for Broadband UVB, /09 and /10 for UVA.
When "BL" is included in a part number, it typically means "Black Light",
which is another term for UVA.
Philips bulbs are made in Holland or Poland. Most other bulbs are made in USA.
Solarc generally uses the term "bulb" to mean a single replaceable light source component or "replacement lamp".
We reserve use of the term "lamp" to mean a complete device,
with some exceptions for customer recognition purposes.
See links above for relative spectral distribution samples.

ENDTYPE = RDC
"Recessed Double Contact" (R17d)

RDC ends have a plastic adapter covering two metallic contacts.
This design is used to prevent medical UVB bulbs from being used in tanning equipment,
which are usually bi-pin.

Philips TL100W/01-FS72 UVB-Narrowband shown.

Note: "FSX" bulbs, such as FSX72T12/UVB/HO, use this endtype but,
instead of each end having the same alignment relative to each other,
one end is rotated ninety (90) degrees (axially) to the other,
so they make an "X" when viewed in from the end.
The FSX bulb design further limits the number of devices that can operate the bulb.
The FSX bulb was/is used extensively by National Biological Corp.,
on their line of UVB-Broadband equipment.
Philips does not make any UVB-Narrowband "FSX" type lamps.

|

ENDTYPE = SLIMLINE
"Slimline"

Slimline ends have one single large 5/16" (8mm) diameter pin, about 5/16" (8mm) long.
In UVB medical phototherapy applications,
they were only used on 6-foot long FS72T12/UVB/SL (SL=SlimLine) bulbs.
Their nominal bulb power is 56 watts.
Slimline bulbs are being phased out in favour of 85 and 100 watt bulbs using the RDC endtype.

Solarc Private Label FS72T12/UVB/SL UVB-Broadband shown; made in USA.

|

ENDTYPE = BI-PIN
"Medium Bi-Pin"

Bi-pin ends have two metallic pins each about 1/4" (6-7mm) long, distanced 1/2" (12-13mm) apart,
center to center. This is the same pin arrangement as found on many standard fluorescent tubes.
The bi-pin arrangement is being phased out to prevent use of medical UVB bulbs in standard fixtures.
